RANT:
Is everyone being over prepared for this swine flu (epi/pan)demic .. there has been all of 40 cases reported in the US as of today. I have seen half a dozen presidential and cabinet level press briefings and non-stop ‘wash your hands’ instructions on major networks. This afternoon i hear a reporter asking if they should shut down borders and ground air traffic to south america.
This morning the bright folks over at military had a low flying ‘airforce one’ mock plan fly over hudson as a training exercise with a military jet trailing it sending panic in NY. Only to come to know that it was a training exercise and there was no warning. (article )
How about some outburst of calm! Yeah we get it this is good opportunity to show the level of preparedness. But, should we create a problem to show that you are prepared. Am i missing something?
