Airlines struggling to make money launching ‘a la carte’ fees at fliers. I guess they figured they will make more money this way without increasing the base fair you pay for flying. Computing and now travel choosing to make it appear that you only pay for services you consume and it should be cheaper.
Here is an example of how some airlines are going to new lengths making you ‘pay as you go’ , Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air (ALGT) and European discount carrier Ryanair— which recently confirmed plans to charge to use the toilet — “successfully charge separately for most customer services without great criticism,” says David Castelveter, vice president of the Air Transport Association, which represents U.S. airlines. Imagine you having to swipe your credit card just to use the facilities on aircraft.
Look at $7 for pillow and blanket , $2 to get a drink of water and wonder if they have variable pricing on toilet usages based on how i am going to use it.
Is it fair to conclude that elastic computing or a-la-carte airlines you could end up paying more for what was taken for granted in the past?
